Hello again. Autumn is here and winter is coming. I love this season don’t you? Especially all the vibrant colours of nature, like this collection with rose hips, maple seeds, chestnuts and leaves.
Back in the flow
I still have to get back in the flow, it takes me like 2 years, sorry about that, but since corona I haven’t been able to write on the blog much or do a lot of creative projects. I did some work for clients and made some websites but other than that I just didn’t have the energy. On Instagram I didn’t post much either and during my absence it also changed a lot with all the Reels, I miss the old Instagram… I sometimes forget how stressful the last couple of years have been and that it took a toll on me and everyone else.
What also made me take a break from my creative work and social media is that my mother passed away in July. Me and my brothers and sister are still busy cleaning out her house. A lot of old things are going through our hands and we recover old photos and other things from our youth, a lot of memories.
Some me time
Things are more quiet at home. My youngest son started school again after some gap years. My husband spends more time at the office and is not working so much from home anymore. I finally have some time for myself. So today I decided to write this post with Autumn inspiration like I did a few years ago and give you a little update.
Cats are great companions
The cats keep me company, here is Luna sleeping on her favourite chair. Now that she is getting older she sits next to me more often and is much calmer.
Vintage finds
Autumn flowers, I love to style them, especially chrysanthemum and late dahlia’s, so pretty and colourful. The vase on the photo I got some years ago in a local thrift shop. I also found little vintage vases and furniture in my mothers house. They are really suitable for little plants and little setups. I hope to show you in a next post!
